"Astronaut In The Ocean" is a 2019 song by rapper Masked Wolf. The song went viral on TikTok and was re-released in January 2021 after Masked Wolf was signed, climbing the Billboard Hot 100 charts and reaching over 100 million plays on Spotify by February. Despite its success, the song became the subject of criticism by many online in mid-2021 due to its arguably bad lyrics, generic sound and general oversaturation at the time.
