Troll Science, more commonly referred to as Troll Physics, is a drawing fad that began on the /sci/ (science) board of 4chan in late September of 2010, with the earliest found thread dating at September 29th, on the /b/ board. The premise behind it is to create pictures with such pseudo-science that one could endlessly troll their science teachers.
Origin
The original picture is allegedly a picture of a troll-car using two magnets to propel itself forward.

Popularity
Searches for Troll Science and Troll Physics first began to register on September 28th, 2010. It is important to note that this is not the date when the first Troll Science comics were posted, but when a significant amount of people began to seek the comics out by searching for them.
Spread
The fad, although only first used on the /sci/ board, spread to different boards on 4chan, such as /b/.
Not only has it spread to other boards on 4chan, it has even had many websites and threads dedicated to it.
